Brooklyn Premier Orthopedics is a Proud Provider of COBA Members, Friends, and Family
Members of the Correction Officers' Benevolent Association: Brooklyn Premier Orthopedics offers you a comprehensive practice that specializes in treating multiple diagnoses from spine, sports injuries, and shoulder, elbow, hip and knee replacements. We are proud to meet all of your orthopedic needs from basic conservative management, including physical therapy, orthotics, and pain management to the most complex surgeries.
When should injured COBA members seek orthopedic attention?
COBA members should seek medical attention immediately following any accident. Many COBA members try to "tough it out" hoping that their injury will resolve on its own. Sprains and strains can and will resolve in two or three days. However, if a COBA member has pain for over five days, has difficulty lifting an arm or is limping, he or she should be evaluated as soon as possible. Knee injuries or shoulder injuries, when left untreated, can unnecessarily lead to arthritis. It is for this reason that COBA members will never have to wait more than forty-eight hours to see one of our physicians.
Our staff is fully trained in completing documents pertaining to COBA, including workers compensation and disability forms, thereby enabling the patient to focus on healing. You can contact our helpful staff at: (718) 759-6100 or email us at info@bportho.com with any questions.
